John 15:1-5, 11 and Galatians 5:22-23
True joy differs from happiness in that it's not circumstantial but relational, growing from our connection with God. As a fruit of the Spirit, joy can coexist with other emotions and sustain us through difficult seasons. Biblical joy comes from abiding in Christ—making our home with Him and allowing His life to flow through us. This joy isn't about forcing a smile but experiencing God's steady presence that carries us through every season of life. By intentionally deepening our relationship with God, we cultivate joy that not only transforms us but can be shared with others who are longing for it.
