Something very special for children, teens and young adults with disabilities
We affirm the image of God in every child and adult with disabilities, and our desire is to love and serve them as we help usher them and their families into a thriving relationship with Christ through worship, Sunday School, and monthly respite care.
On Sunday mornings, we serve our families whose children have special needs by enabling the parents to attend worship or Sunday School while a trained Kids Pal attends Sunday School or Student Ministries with the child. By doing this, our families feel confident that their children with disabilities are taken care of with extra attention and assistance and the whole family is able to fully participate in the life of the church on Sunday mornings.
Our program is offered once per month and alternates between Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. The program is free to church members and the community. Each child is paired with a volunteer who stays with the child throughout the event and nurses are typically present for any medical needs. PM Pals provides parents with the opportunity for respite while their children enjoy a fun program.
Our new ministry started in 2023, provides dinner and fellowship for teens and young adults with special needs. This quarterly program includes dinner and activities for two hours on a Friday evening. It is offered free to church and community members.
