In our constant struggle to prove ourselves worthy, we often miss the profound truth that God's love isn't earned - it's freely given. Like Jesus in Gethsemane who surrendered to God's will, we're called to let go of our endless striving. True peace comes when we stop trying to prove our worth and simply accept God's unconditional love. Just as a trapped bird exhausts itself trying to escape, we wear ourselves out attempting to earn salvation, when all we need to do is surrender to God's loving embrace.
