UPDATE: Out of an abundance of caution, and to keep all of our congregation and staff safe, St. Luke’s will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 25. There will be no in-person worship or other programming. The service will be live-streamed at all of our normal service times for Westheimer and Gethsemane, so please join us to worship online! Please reach out to the church if you or anyone you know needs help during this freeze. We stand ready and waiting to support you.

Uplifting celebration of God’s power over death.

Memorial Services and Funerals

In the company of believers and through the strength of worship, family and friends can find the renewal of Christian faith, hope and love that will sustain them in their time of grief. The focus of memorial services and funerals at St. Luke’s is to provide an uplifting celebration of God’s power over death through scripture readings, prayer and music.

To make arrangements or for more information on planning a memorial service or funeral, please contact Karen Smith at 713-402-5086 or [email protected].

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.” – John 14:27

Note: Times for services should not be set prior to confirmation of the availability of the church facilities and the assignment of a minister.

Memorial Garden at St. Luke's United Methodist Church Houston

St. Luke’s Memorial Garden

Everyone wants to have peace about end-of-life plans, including a final resting place. But many of us haven’t thought about a plan, or we’re in denial about the need for a plan, or we just don’t know what to do. We understand that this conversation may be hard, but we now have a beautiful solution. If you consider St. Luke’s your church home during your journey, perhaps choosing the Memorial Garden as your final resting place at the journey’s end is the answer.
