Join us as we take "A Leap of Faith" together – our inspiring sermon series that explores how God calls us to step boldly into His promises, just as Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds did on that first Christmas night. From the angelic voices of our choir to the the joyful chaos of our children's Christmas concert, candles, and pageants, every corner of our church will be alive with the spirit of the season.
At St. Luke's, we believe Advent isn't just about waiting – it's about preparing our hearts to receive the greatest gift. Through worship, service, and fellowship, we'll journey together toward that holy night, making each step count, each moment matter, and each act of love shine brighter than before.
Advent is a time of waiting and preparing our hearts for the arrival of our savior. One way to do this is to practice our second habit: We study the Bible to dig deeper and learn everything we can about God’s love.
Christmas is a time for tradition, and with it comes the idea that nothing should really change. We get out the same decorations as last year, sing the same songs in worship, eat the same food for Christmas dinner, and hold fast to our traditions because we enjoy them so much. But for those who experienced that first Christmas, there was nothing business as usual for them. In fact, everything changed! And that was because they were willing to take a leap of faith. During the Advent season, beginning December 1st, the Sunday morning messages will explore those people whom Scripture includes as part of the Christmas narrative, and the transformation that occurred in their lives because they were willing to take that leap.
For the third year of Project Christmas, St. Luke’s has the opportunity to provide baskets of everyday essentials for Small Steps families. Purchasing laundry detergent may not seem as much fun as purchasing a toy, but providing these fundamental items, relieves financial strain on families so parents will have funds to buy Christmas gifts for their own children.
The Garden Community Youth Center features a growing focus on sports and athletic opportunities, with surging interest in basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Your support will allow us to expand these offerings and introduce new classes that will continue to engage our youth daily. A ministry of St. Luke’s, this welcoming space is a forum for opportunity and community. Join us in continuing to cultivate programming where members can flourish in faith and discover their purpose.
