God,

You gave me a mission for this day, to love others as you love.

You ask me…

To love those who love me in return.

To love those who are hard to love.

To love those who say or do things that hurt me or others.

To love those who are desperate.

To love those who might change and those who won’t ever change.

To love those whom I see daily.

To love those who seem invisible to me most of the time.

Today, I want to answer your call. Show me how to be promiscuous and prodigal in the way I love that my love of others might be some small reflection of yours. Amen.

Promiscuous: “demonstrating or implying an undiscriminating or unselective approach”

Prodigal: “having or giving something on a lavish scale”
