Spiritual growth doesn’t only happen in corporate worship, but often happens in less formal gatherings like small groups. A small group typically meets on a weekly basis for fellowship, study, prayer, and reflection. Small groups of six to 10 people allow us to experience the purpose and power of Christ in our lives, dig deeper into our faith and grow closer to God. We want to help you find a place to truly belong, to celebrate the joys of life and to weather the storms together. And, we want you to become who God made you to be through personal and spiritual growth.

A Relatable Faith:
Peter’s Journey

Peter was in Jesus’ inner circle, walked on water, and preached to thousands. He also gave in to his fears and doubts on occasion and he denied Jesus. But he was the rock on which God would build the church. We are a lot like Peter – faithful, hopeful, fumbling, persistent, forgiven, restored. Join us to learn lessons from his life and letters. Email Katie Brown to find a group or start a new one! Starts week of January 29.

Exodus
Learning to Trust God

The book of Exodus recounts the most important event in Israel’s history: their escape from slavery in Egypt.  It seems like ancient history, but the God who delivered Israel is the God who delivers us still today.  As we study the story of the Exodus, we’ll see that God doesn’t just deliver us from something – like our enslavement to sin. God also delivers us for something – the Promised Land of new beginnings, second chances, forgiveness, love, and a relationship with our creator and savior.

Joy Full
The Book of Philippians

A study of Philippians focusing on how Paul found joy in the midst of hard circumstances.

The early church was unstoppable.  Learn more about the book of Acts and the Holy Spirit’s impact on the early church, and join us as we develop an unstoppable faith too.

The Book of Signs

In the Gospel of John, there’s no such thing as a miracle. Jesus performs “signs” instead. Dive into the first half of the Gospel of John and learn about the signs of the coming Kingdom of God.

In the Beginning
A Study of Genesis

The book of Genesis is all about beginnings. The beginning of creation, of humans, of relationships, of sin, of covenant. Through this book, we learn about God’s character, who we are, why we’re here, where things went sideways, and about God’s plan to care for the whole world. We see God’s overwhelming and life-changing love demonstrated through the lives of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph. It’s an ancient story, but one that continues to impact us today.

A Life Transformed

How is your everyday life different because you are a Christian? St. Luke’s vision is of a city transformed by the love of Jesus. In order for us to partner in that work, our lives must be transformed by Jesus as well! Join us for this 5-week churchwide study as we look at how God transforms us, our families, neighborhoods, work, and all of the little, ordinary things that make up our days.

Jesus: Greater Than
A Study of Hebrews

With all of its references to the Torah, the prophets, and sacrifices, the epistle to the Hebrews can be a confusing book!  In this season of Scripture+Shared, we will decode the Old Testament references and context so that we can get a clear picture of Jesus as our accessible king.  This four-week study will demonstrate how Jesus is greater than the angels, Moses and Aaron, and we will deepen our faith as we study suffering with hope and faith-based on trust.

Life Lessons from Jesus’ Followers

Jesus is the star of the gospels, but he’s surrounded by a “supporting cast” of followers – what can we learn from their lives? We’ll look more deeply at the characteristics and actions of Jesus’ followers, putting ourselves in their shoes to empathize with their doubts, passion, and hopefulness, so that we might learn how to be more deeply devoted followers of Jesus.

Sermon on the Mount

It’s the most quoted portion of scripture, but how well do you really know what Jesus said in his Sermon on the Mount? This 6-week study on Jesus’ instructions for the Christian life will reveal what it means to live in an upside-down kingdom, how Jesus taught us to pray, and the foundation on which we should build our faith.

Storytime: The Parables of Jesus

Jesus knew how to tell a good story. He knew that it would draw listeners into what he was trying to teach them about the kingdom of God How to manage money, true obedience, and especially love and forgiveness.

The Book of Glory

What would you say to the people you loved most if you knew you had only a few days of your life left to be with them?  How do you think Jesus’ approached his death differently than you or I might? Was the moment of Jesus’ death a high point or a low point in his life? All of these are questions we will deal with as we study the last days of Jesus’ life found in the Gospel of John.

Advice Columnists:
The Letters of James and Peter

Just as we turn to advice columnists to figure out how to navigate tricky social situations, family drama, and work relationships, Christians have been turning to the epistles from James and Peter for 2,000 years for practical advice on how to live as a Christian. This study dives into these letters.

Praying the Psalms

The Book of Psalms is the Bible’s prayer book consisting of songs and poems composed by people facing life’s ever-changing circumstances living under God’s covenant. We can speak these psalms directly to God, joining in a centuries-long tradition of prayer. These daily readings will help you do just that.

These Bones Shall Live

The prophet Ezekiel was a mystic, who saw visions of wheels in the sky and graveyards that came back to life. His visions were strange, but at their core, the visions were a sort of mirror in which the people Israel could see who they really were. Moreover, the visions were a window into a God who would restore them to new abundant life.

Freedom: Life in the Spirit

Do you ever get weary of “expectations?”  Do you ever feel like every Sunday, you hear that God expects more and more out of you? Paul’s letter to Galatians is focused on the freedom we have in Christ, freedom from jumping through hoops for Jesus, and on the transformation that happens inside-out when the Holy Spirit takes us over.
