Long Term Response

“We weren’t the first in, but we will be the last out.” – Dr. Tom Pace

These words from Dr. Pace after Hurricane Harvey inspired us to live out our faith by serving our Houston friends. After seven years, this commitment to walk alongside our neighbors and to support our community still speaks hope and love into the hearts of those who continue to suffer as they discern a way forward.

Through a collaborative effort The Restoration Team was created by St. Luke’s along with three other local churches , to help with the long-term rebuild efforts after Harvey. Today, The Restoration Team is still repairing homes and hosting groups from around the country as they travel to Houston and help with the effort. To volunteer with The Restoration Team, sign up HERE!

In addition to the The Restoration Team, St. Lukes will work along with our Community Partners to provide longterm assistance.
